PhotoDub™ integrates image editing, voice dubbing, and automatic e-mail transfer of your digital images in one application. You do not need to switch from application to application to send a picture with voice. Key features are

The main interface has four regions. On top, A shows where you are in your work flow. On the left, B exhibits all the subcommands available to you at any stage of your workflow with brief explanations on how to use the subcommands. Clicking on ? you will see more detail explanations. On the right, C is the work space where you will see the outputs of your subcommands or the picture you are working on. Below, D shows the thumbnail views of your favorite pictures.

The dubbed picture file with the extension, VAI, can only be played with the standalone player, PhotoDub™ Player, which is distributed free of charge.
Search - find automatically all the jpg and bmp images on your hard drive and exhibit the
Find Results in Region C.
Browse - Using the Window Explorer, find the images you would like to work on and exhibit the
Find Results in Region C.
Open - Using the Standard Open Dialogue, find the images you would like to work on and exhibit
picture in Region C.
Edit Picture
Zoom In/Out - enlarge or shrink image in Region C.
Brightness Adjustment - increase or decrease brightness.
Contrast Adjustment - increase or decrease contrast.
Red Eye Removal - remove red color in selected area.
Trim - trim to standard print picture dimensions (e.g. 4x6, 5x7
) or custom dimensions.
Enhance - automatically set contrast and brightness to improve piture quality.
Black-White - convert a color picture to a black and white picture.
Record Voice
Standard voice recording features are available: record, stop, rewind, pause and play.
Edit Voice
This is the unique feature of PhotoDub™. It has its own voice editor to allow you to dub a picture with
your voice and edit your recorded voice as described below:
Select - select the section of the sound profile to be edited.
Select All - select the whole recording.
Delete Selected - delete selected section. This can be used to remove unwanted sections of
the recording.
Insert Silence - insert a silent region in the recording. This will allow you to re-record the sound
again.
Replace Selected with Silence replace the selected region with silent region. This will allow
you to re-record the sound again in the replaced segment.
Normalize - adjust the volume level to the average level of the recording to minimize volume
variations during playback.
Echo - apply an echo effect to the selected region.
Fade In/Out - increase or decrease the volume of the selected region with time.
Combine
During this step, the picture and the recorded voice are combined.You have the choice to select the
qualities of the sound and the picture you would like to have in the combined file, called VAI file.
Qualities of both voice and picture affect the size of the VAI file, which in turn affects the transmission
time of the file.
Send/Save
For sending, the PhotoDub™ mail client will appear to allow you to enter the addresses of the
recipient of the VAI file. You have a choice of sending the VAI file with or without the PhotoDub™
Player. The Player is also available in a prepackaged Zip file to pass FireWall restrictions. You have
to configure your Mail Client with your ISP mail account settings in order to send. You can also
save the VAI/Player file and send it as attachment with your own mail client.

About Download and the Trial Version
The registered and the trial version of
PhotoDub™ are the same. With the trial version, you are allowed to use
PhotoDub™ for 14 days. Each of the dubbed pictures is identified by the name of the person who creates the dubbed picture as shown below:

In the case of the trial version, you will see Created by UNREGISTERED. In the case of the full version, your name will appear.
After you have purchased the full version, a License Serial No. will be sent to you. You can register by choosing Register, and enter your name and the License Serial No.
